I’ve driven a bunch of cars now, but there are quite a few that I want to drive but never have. Those include the typical Ferrari and Lamborghini but it also includes the Mustang Ecoboost. It makes more power than my 4.6 3V stock for stock and has that stellar S550 platform. What more could you want?

Enter Jacob, who graciously let me take his Ecoboost out for a spin. The result? I was pleasantly surprised. I do have to mention it wasn’t stock, but most people don’t leave theirs stock either so that shouldn’t come as a surprise. It also was an automatic, but again, no surprise there as manuals are becoming a rarity these days.

What do you think of the Ecoboost Mustangs?

Shameless plug here... The car I reviewed was stock, but the factory tune tweaks it up to 335hp/390torques. Add in a good exhaust and it’s a winner.

I drove an automatic ecoboost S550 at Carmax before purchasing my 2013 V6 manual and found the ecoboost boring and slow. I felt that the 2.0T fusion I owned previously was more fun.
